The pulpy, freshly pressed, unfermented grape juice that kickstarts the winemaking process is known as 'mosto' in Italian. Located 1.2 kilometres from Villa Kavya, this European-styled bistro offers a great selection of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine ranging from fresh salads and sandwiches to hearty pastas and grilled specialties.   • Pantai Berawa

    Pantai Berawa (Berawa Beach) (1km) is known for its brown sugar sand and rolling surf, which offers mellow rights and lefts that break over a mixed rocky reef out the back and sand bottom through the inside. Swim in safety between the yellow & red flags under the watch eyes of the lifeguards.

  • Sangeh Monkey Forest

    The cool, dark and mysterious Sangeh Monkey Forest (25km from the villa) is home to about 700 long tailed macaques and 2000 straight-trunked ‘Palahlar’ trees, soaring up to 60 metres. It’s believed that the forest is more than three centuries old. There are four temples here, including the moss-covered Pura Bukit Sari in the heart of the forest.

  • Munduk

    Head up to the peaceful village of Munduk in Bali’s lake district, the drive is 2hrs 15mins but it’s worth it. See the three lakes and enjoy a gentle trek through clove and coffee plantations to bathe or splash at any of the three famous waterfalls in the area: Munduk, Melanting and Laangan Melanting.
