A Modern Twist On Classic Balinese Style

In Sanskrit ‘Kavya’ means poetry, and once you enter the villa, you’ll understand why. Indonesian Architect Sekar designed the villa as a modern interpretation of the open living spaces used in traditional Balinese architecture.

Spaciously laid out over 300m², she combined traditional wooden shingle roofs, warm teak wooden floors and interior elements, cream-colored granite and polished grey cement in a striking, stylish contrast to the large central grass lawn. Large French doors keep light and air flowing through the interiors, providing a sense of tropical island living.

Surrounded by emerald rice fields, the peaceful vista is enhanced by magical sunsets and distant sounds of the ocean. The nearby sweeping beach is renowned for its panoramic coastline views and legendary sunsets; witness it from the Kavya garden, take a stroll down the beach, or enjoy a romantic meal by the water as the sun bids you “Namaste”, or goodbye.
